BUDGET HOME ORGANIZATION

Organizing your home doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Many things can be organized with what you already have. Do you feel like you would need a major closet overhaul to get it organized? Well that’s simply not true. It is easy to organize and save space with the right hangers. Even if you decide to add an extra hanging bar, it will still only cost around $10. You could be so close to an organized home with neat and useful closets without even knowing it!

You don’t need a lot of money to get your home organized. Check out these tips from onlyhangers.com.

Living Room

In the living room, you just need a few places to put a few things. Remote controls and game controllers can all go together in one handy basket. Use another basket or shelf for magazines, incoming and outgoing mail. If you have an old trunk, you can use it to store throw blankets and extra throw pillows. If you don’t have baskets, you can neatly wrap cardboard boxes in scrap fabric or decorative wrapping paper.

Bathroom

The bathroom is usually a mess because the space underneath the cabinet isn’t very useful. If you can put some sort of riser under there, you could double the usable space. Coated wire rack shelves for lockers or cabinets are available for around $5. If you have some scrap wood lying around, you can build your own. Put a shelf in the back for things that you don’t use very often and tier it down for the things that you use all the time.

Entryway

Providing a spot for people to put their purses, keys, wallets, cell phones and other things that they need to put down when they enter the house. Even if you only have a folding TV tray it will work. Come up with some kind of system to keep all of these things together and easily accessible.

Bedroom

Work on your bedroom closets to keep laundry and clothes running smoothly. Use specialty hangers to hang swimwear, ties, belts, scarves, t-shirts, and dress clothes. Plastic hangers are a great option if you need to save money. Cascading hangers save space and coordinate hangers let you put together outfits in advance. These little tricks can save you a lot of time, space and money. Use the space underneath your bed for items that take up too much room in the closet. Suitcases, out of season clothes, and shoes that you don’t wear everyday can be kept under the bed.
